booster club grants
who can apply for Booster grants?
Any Capital High School WIAA group/team.
The Head Coach/Teacher must submit the request.
how are grants awarded?
The Booster Club raises money throughout the year in the Concession Stand, through Drawings, an annual Auction, and other fundraising activities.
Grants are then awarded if funds are available, and in a manner consistent with WIAA policies
We also award grants with these considerations in mind:
Can it help our students be safer? (pads, mats, etc.)
Are the items needed for competitions? (uniforms, microphones, fees for competition/game officials, etc.)
Can it help our students and leaders prepare and train better? (training equipment, entrance fees, etc.)
How many students can this benefit?
How can we allocate funds in the most equitable way possible?
what items can be requested?
Grants can be used to fund any expense that can be paid for from the athletic or activity’s Associated Student Body (ASB) account. If you have questions about whether the expense is appropriate, please check with the Athletic/Activities Director. The WIAA also has general information about the use of ASB funds.
The request may cover more than one item or level (i.e., uniforms and equipment, varsity/junior varsity/C team) and may be used by more than one team (i.e., equipment shared by track and cross country, boys and girls soccer, all activities that use the theater). All uniform requests must be items that remain with the school (not participant specific) and consistent with the ASB uniform rotation.
